A cookie is a small text file made up of letters and numbers placed by a website on a user’s computer when they access a site. Cookies are stored by the browser (for example Explorer or Chrome) on your computer, smartphone or other device and allow websites to store and use information about users’ preferences, so as to recognise a user when they access the site and respond accordingly.
How they are used
Cookies are used to increase the functionality and usability of our website. We use two types of cookie: persistent and session cookies.
- Persistent cookies are those that remain in the browser from one session to another.
- Session cookies are present when you visit our site and are not kept in the browser once it is closed.
No personal information is recorded in cookies. All information collected by cookies is retained and is not disclosed, transmitted or sold to third parties.
Types of cookie used on the site
Technical cookies — this type allows certain sections of the Site to work correctly. They fall into two categories: persistent (once the browser is closed they are not destroyed but remain until a pre-set expiry date) and session (destroyed each time the browser is closed). Always sent from our domain, they are necessary to display the site correctly and in relation to the technical services offered; they will therefore always be used and sent, unless the user changes the settings in their browser (thereby affecting the display of the site’s pages).
Analytics cookies — used to collect information about the use of the site. The site will use this information for anonymous statistical analysis, in order to improve the use of the Site and make the content more interesting and relevant to users’ wishes. They collect data anonymously about user activity and how they arrived at the Site. They are sent by the Site itself or by third-party domains.
Third-party analytics cookies — used to collect information about users’ use of the Site anonymously, such as: pages visited, time spent, traffic sources, geographical origin, age, gender and interests for marketing purposes. Sent by third-party domains external to the Site.
Cookies to integrate third-party software and functions — integrate functionality developed by third parties within the Site’s pages, such as social-network icons and preferences for sharing content, or the use of third-party software services (such as map-generating software and other software offering additional services). Sent by third-party domains and partner sites.
How to express consent for cookies
Under current legislation, the Data Controller is not required to request consent for technical and analytics cookies, as they are necessary to provide the requested services. For all other types of cookie, the User may express consent in one or more of the following ways:
- through specific settings of the browser used, or of the software used to navigate the pages that make up the Site;
- by changing the settings for the use of third-party services.
Both of these solutions may prevent the user from using or viewing parts of the Site.
Disabling cookies
Most browsers accept cookies automatically, but you can also choose not to accept them. If you do not want your computer to receive and store cookies, you can change the security settings of your browser (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Safari, etc.).

Cookies and local storage used by this site
This site does not set profiling cookies and does not use website-traffic analytics
tools. The only piece of data saved on your device is the consent choice (lg-consent,
stored in localStorage), which remembers what you picked in the banner.
The site map on the Contact page is a Google Maps service and only loads once you have given consent in the banner. If you accept, Google may set its own cookies as described in its own notice.
The open-positions pages use Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise to obtain the technical attestation needed to read the list of positions. This is the invisible version: it requires no action and shows no challenges. The service is Google’s, loads only on those pages, and may set its own cookies as described in its own notice; without this attestation the list cannot be technically read, so it loads anyway, regardless of the choice made in the banner.
The list of open positions is downloaded from Firebase (Google): this is a plain content fetch, with no cookies involved. Details are in the privacy notice.
