CURTI Energy has extended its studies on the recovery of materials to compounds reinforced with carbon fibres (CFRC). The collaboration with the Faculty of Industrial Chemistry has led to publish three articles on the subject and to work with global companies that have large amounts of this type of waste. These activities are co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund as part of the Emilia Romagna Region POR ERDF 2014-2020 notice “Call for collaborative research projects and development of enterprises” – DGR 773/2015.
The purpose of this project is to recover the carbon fibres (CF) and use them as secondary raw material for the manufacture of compounds with reinforcement of recycled short fibre (Re-CFRC) for different applications.
